The GM Collision Parts team set up shop from March 16–18 as a first-time exhibitor of the NORTHEAST 2018 auto show.
Wholesale Collision Manager John Eck says GM decided to exhibit when it saw an opportunity to reach out to new customers.
“It’s a chance to reach a geographic market segmentation we may not see at other shows,” says Eck.
“NORTHEAST provides us a broader breadth of customers and puts us in a position to walk with a large number of body shop owners and collision technicians.”
Those folks were offered an up-close look at a number of GM products on display, including an expanded side view of headlights and mirrors. GM also brought its full contingent of Collision Product Specialists, Body Structural Engineers and experts from its Collision Parts team to answer questions.
GM highlighted Saturday, March 17th events with a presentation on its new repair network titled “Ready, Set, Go.” Eck and other GM experts described a new collision repair certification program that GM is currently building and will release mid-year. They also fielded questions from an enthusiastic audience interested in seeing how the program stood out from others and how it could fit their businesses.
